Supervised Workplace Training (Traineeship)

Nevett Ford is committed to training law graduates having trained many young lawyers in our time. 

We are conscious of our obligation as members of the profession to assist in the training of young lawyers.  It is also an integral part of our development as many lawyers in our firm have come through what was previously known as 'Articles'.

We adopt a rigorous approach to training.  Trainees are generally rotated through a number of specialist areas within the practice in order to provide a broad experience and to ascertain interest and aptitude.  All lawyers in the practice are actively involved in the program and are available to assist in the Trainee's training program.

As the firm has offices in Melbourne, Ballarat and Bacchus Marsh, a Trainee may spend time in each office.

In developing the skills of the Trainee, we aim to teach the techniques, standards and skills necessary to practice law.  More importantly however, to instil ethical responsibilities and client service principles.

Traineeships at Nevett Ford will be challenging and rewarding.  We are looking to engage people with the 'right' attitude - people who can make a difference.
